Resident students of Edmonton Public Schools seeking a fourth or fifth year of high school may enroll in classes for Quarter 2, starting in November or may also explore alternative programming options at Metro Continuing Education
 
*A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has a parent or court-appointed legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic or is an independent student living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.

To ensure your application can be processed, you MUST bring the following items with you when you register: 

  • IDENTIFICATION: EITHER of the following forms of identification:
    • A Canadian Birth Certificate AND a piece of government-issued photo identification (such as a Driver’s License or Alberta Identification Card); OR
    • Any ONE of the following: Canadian Passport, Indian Status Card, or Permanent Residency/Citizenship document. All documents must have valid dates, not expired. If your PR has expired, bring the documents proving that you have applied to renew. Please note that we cannot accept Alberta Health Care Cards or Social Insurance Cards as identification.
  • MARKS:
    • Students coming from a school anywhere in Alberta are asked to obtain a Detailed Academic Report available through the MyPass Website (myPass.alberta.ca). 
    • Students coming from outside of Alberta are asked to provide a transcript from their previous high school.
  • PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT (only for students under 18 years of age):

Without proper documentation, your registration may be delayed. If this represents a difficulty, please call the school at 780-425-6753.

Mandatory Fees:

Textbook Rental - $75 (refundable)
If a student requests to take a textbook home, there will be a $75 fee. Most classes will not require this.

Special Optional Fees: Only required for students registered in an Art, Audio Engineering, ERCP or Physical Education course.

      Art 10/20/30: $40 (to cover art materials)    

      Audio Engineering 15: $150 (to cover equipment - headphone, portable hard drive, carrying bag; student keeps the items

                                             after the course)

      Audio Engineering 25: $100 (to cover equipment - Radial JDI box build kit; student keeps the item after the course)

      ERCP Level 1 & Physical Education - YMCA membership (approximately $150 over the semester, paid directly to the YMCA)

      ERCP Level 2: YMCA membership (approximately $150 over the semester, paid directly to the YMCA)

      ERCP Level 1: mandatory (must be purchased)

      ERCP Level 2: mandatory (must be purchased)

Get your free ARC card from the Main Office and register it through SchoolZone.  Online purchase dates will be posted monthly

DIPLOMA EXAMS

ALL students REWRITING diploma exams MUST pre-pay and register DIRECTLY with Alberta Education by the established deadlines to ensure an exam and label will be supplied to the school for the diploma writing session. 

NOTE: Centre High does not collect fees for diploma exam rewrites.

*Due to increased enrollment and a desire by many students to access CHC, current students who are in a course and not attending will be removed. Students will not be guaranteed their spot if they return, as seats will be given to new students.

To confirm your registration and to make changes to your schedule Centre High will be running a mandatory In-person Orientation Days on August 22, 23, 26 & 27 starting at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. 

Career Directions

Career Directions provides an opportunity for students to participate in post-secondary planning, career planning/exploration, career courses, and career opportunities.

Do you qualify?

To qualify for enrolment at Centre High, you must be entering your fourth year of high school and must be 19 years of age or younger as of September 1 of the school term in which you are applying.
