Mental Health Committee

Students in the Mental Health Committee (MHC) have the opportunity to work as a team to increase awareness of Mental Health Issues and decrease the stigma associated with it.  They acquire skills that make them more successful in their school, sports, friendships and future careers.

  • research a number of topics
  • inform other students
  • plan and organize events
  • lead group discussions
  • seek community involvement and sponsorships
  • demonstrate empathy and compassion.

As an extension to the Mental Health Committee participation students can complete the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and receive certification.

Our meetings happen on Mondays at 3:30 pm in room 205B.
