RAP | Registered Apprenticeship Program

up to 40 credits 

The RAP program is powered by Alberta Education and Apprenticeship and Industry Training for students who are interested in pursuing a career in one of Alberta's fifty trades. The intent of this program is for students to gain credits toward a high school diploma while working towards hours for an apprenticeship. RAP will allow students to earn credits toward a high school diploma, work as an apprentice, earn wages and accumulate hours that qualify for an apprenticeship in one of Alberta's trades.

Prerequisite: HCS 3000 (Workplace Safety)

Work Experience

3 - 15 credits

Centre High offers an off-campus Work Experience program that encourages students to become involved in a new learning experience. After completing the pre-requisite safety and workplace training at Centre High, students will be able to use a paid or volunteer position to explore a future career and receive practical on-the-job training; all while earning high school credits. Students will develop work search strategies and tools to access provincial and national job banks to seek employment.
