A+ Computer Repair & Networking

12 credits

Students enrolled in this course will be introduced to computer hardware architecture, operating system software, and networking with the purpose of troubleshooting and desktop support. Students taking the advanced course will build on the knowledge from the introductory course.  Upon completion of the introductory and advanced courses students may choose to write the CompTIA A+ certification exams.

Animation & Video Design

Animation Movie

Students enrolled in this course will be introduced to computer animation. Students will learn to create 3 dimensional graphics for film, video game and interactive media industries.

Computer Skills

up to 20 credits

Students can begin or continue their study of high school information processing modules. These modules include keyboarding, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. If you are planning a career in office administration, this course will give you a head start on the computer skills that are required in all office careers. Recommended prerequisite: none 


C# Computer Programming

12 credits

This course provides an extensive coverage of the fundamentals of high-level language programming using Microsoft’s Visual C# for Windows. Course topics include: introduction to the C# language; C# operators and expressions; conditional statements; looping statements; top-down program development; methods; arrays and strings; and string functions. Students have the opportunity to receive credit for a first year programming course in the DMIT program at NAIT.

Engineering Prep

6 credits

An introduction to C# programming designed for students planning to enter U of A Engineering. Although not recognized by U of A, this course will prepare students for success in their Engineering program.

Students enrolled in this course will develop skills that will allow them to create web sites and edit digital media such as photographs and video with the purpose of developing digital and internet media.
